This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe, transparent platform for land owners and buyers across the United States.
1. Information We Collect
Account Info
- Name, email address, and account credentials
- Payment details processed via Stripe. We never store your card numbers
- Profile information you choose to provide
Listing Data
- Land details, parcel information, photos, and descriptions you upload
- AI-generated content created using our tools, powered by OpenAI
- Pricing, acreage, location, and land type data
Usage Data
- IP address and device information
- Browsing history and interactions within the Service
- Analytics data via cookies and Google Analytics
From Third Parties
- Parcel and land data from APIs such as Regrid
- AI-generated outputs via OpenAI APIs
Information we do not collect NEW
- We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or bank account numbers through the Service
- We do not store full payment card numbers at any point. Stripe handles card data directly
- We do not buy personal information from data brokers
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service: generate AI listing descriptions, process subscription payments, deliver buyer-seller matching alerts
- To improve features: analyze usage patterns to make our AI tools smarter and more accurate
- For marketing: send email updates about new features and offers. You can opt out anytime
- For legal reasons: comply with applicable laws, regulations, and court orders
- For security: detect fraud, spam, and abuse across the platform
Automated processing
Our AI valuation and buyer-matching tools process your listing data automatically to produce estimated value ranges and buyer matches. These outputs are estimates generated from comparable sales and platform activity.
They are not appraisals, and no automated decision on our platform determines your legal rights or your ability to use the Service. A human always controls whether you list, at what price, and to whom you sell.
3. Sharing Your Information
- Service providers: Stripe for payment processing, OpenAI for AI features, Regrid for land data. Each governs their own privacy policies
- Business transfers: if RawLand AI is acquired or merges, your data may transfer as part of that transaction
- Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users
We do not sell your personal data. Your information is never sold to third-party marketers or advertisers, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
4. Cookies & Tracking
- Essential cookies: required for the platform to function, including login sessions and preferences
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how users navigate the site, via Google Analytics
- Marketing cookies: used for relevant advertising. You can opt out in your browser settings
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly without them.
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to stop selling or sharing your personal information, as required for covered businesses under California law.
5. Data Security
- We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data in transit
- Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant
- We maintain secure servers and regularly review our security practices
No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it immediately to support@rawland.ai.
If a breach occurs
If we discover a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the applicable authorities within the timeframes required by the breach notification laws of your state.
6. Your Rights
Everyone, in every state
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Update or correct: fix inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete: request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out: unsubscribe from marketing emails or disable analytics cookies
- Data portability: receive your data in a portable format
If you live in CaliforniaÂ
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives California residents the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality experience because you exercised a privacy right.
To make a request, email support@rawland.ai with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity before acting on the request and respond within the timeframe the law requires. You may also use an authorized agent.
If you live in another state with a comprehensive privacy law
Residents of states including Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, Oregon, and Montana have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling.
We extend the same request process and the same appeal right to residents of every state, whether or not the law requires it. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain our reasoning.
If you are in the EU or UK
GDPR gives you additional rights, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because RawLand AI operates from the United States, using the Service means your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your country.
7. Children’s Privacy
RawLand AI is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account, because using the Service can involve entering into agreements to buy or sell real property.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@rawland.ai and we will remove it.
8. Data Retention
- Account data: kept while your account is active. After you close your account we delete or anonymize it within 90 days, except where we must keep records longer for tax, accounting, or legal reasons
- Listing data: sold and expired listings are retained as market history in anonymized form so our valuation tools can use real comparable sales. Your name and contact details are removed from that record
- Payment records: retained for the period required by tax and accounting rules, typically seven years. Stripe retains its own records under its policy
- AI inputs and outputs: OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default and that API inputs and outputs are retained for up to 30 days before removal
- Analytics data: retained according to our Google Analytics configuration
9. AI and Your Land Data
Sellers ask one question more than any other: what happens to my parcel data once an AI touches it?
When you use our AI listing writer or AI valuation tool, the details you provide are sent to OpenAI’s API to generate the output you asked for. OpenAI states that data submitted through its API platform is not used to train its models unless a customer explicitly opts in, and that API inputs and outputs are retained for up to 30 days to operate the service and detect abuse before being removed. We have not opted in to model training.
Our own valuation model uses aggregated, anonymized sales data from completed transactions. Your name, contact information, and account details are never part of that data set. A valuation is an estimate generated from comparable sales, not a certified appraisal, and it does not create any obligation for you.
10. Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements
- We will notify you by email or by a notice on the Service before material changes take effect
- The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version
- Continued use of RawLand AI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy
